RUTA DE TANIT \u00b7 Costa Blanca Fenicia<\/p>\n\n

Under the patronage of Tanit, ancient goddesss of Ibiza, we carry out different cultural voyages aboard the schooner Atrevida \u201cDaring\u201d, visiting the main Phoenician settlements on the coast of Alicante and Murcia.<\/p>\n\n

In previous years we have sailed between Cartagena and Ibiza. The two cities were founded by the Phoenicians and we commemorate that shared past with a sailing trip, a cultural adventure that we named the Tanit Route<\/strong>. During the May 1 Long Weekend in this 2024 we will visit the Tanit sanctuary in Ibiza again, leaving and returning from Alicante on a week-long journey. (link to Route from Tanit to Ibiza)<\/p>\n\n

The other two<\/strong> sailing trips of the Tanit Route along the Phoenician Costa Blanca that we propose depart from La Manga, are shorter: last 5 days, and focus on the Phoenician sites on the Costa Blanca, culminating with a visit to the remains of the Tanit sanctuary in La Illeta de Campello. On both trips we will follow a very small part of the great route that the ancient Phoenician navigators followed from Gadir-C\u00e1diz, passing through Qart-Hada\u0161t-Cartagena, to Ibo\u0161im -Ibiza, and much further, to Sicily and Carthage.<\/p>\n\n

The first will be in the Spring, from May 15 to 19. The second in Autumn, from October 9 to 13.<\/p>\n\n

Program: Bajo de la Campana \/ La Fonteta \/ Akra Leuka \/ Santuario de Tanit en la Illeta dels Banyets \/ Tabarka<\/p>\n\n

Embarking on Wednesday morning (On request: possibility of sleeping on board the night of the day before boarding). Accommodation on the boat, safety briefing, the supplies will already be on board and we will set sail as soon as possible to go out to the Mediterranean, passing near Isla Grosa and the Farallon to take a brief tour close to La Campana shoal. Then we will head north towards Guardamar de Segura. Night in port.<\/p>\n\n

Thursday<\/p>\n\n

Guided visit to the important Phoenician site of La Fonteta and the Archaeological Museum of Guardamar. Once the visit is over we will return to the port and set sail for Campello. Night in port.<\/p>\n\n

Friday<\/p>\n\n

Very close to the port of Campello guided visit to the interesting Ibero-Punic-Roman site of La Illeta, and its small sanctuary of Tanit. Navigation towards the port of Alicante (Akra Leuka). Night in port.<\/p>\n\n

Saturday<\/p>\n\n

Visit to the Archaeological Museum of Alicante. In the afternoon we will set sail heading south to spend the night on the island of Tabarka. If the weather was not adequate, we would continue to Torrevieja.<\/p>\n\n

Sunday<\/p>\n\n

Navigation, disembarking at noon in Puerto Tom\u00e1s Maestre.<\/p>\n\n

Includes: VAT, professional skipper, insurance, bedding. 6 places available.<\/p>\n\n

Not included: Food and drinks, towels.<\/p>\n\n

Extras: For the costs of provisioning, fuel and moorings, each passenger will pay a fund of \u20ac20\/day at the time of boarding, the unspent portion will be returned at the end of the journey.<\/p>\n\n

During the trip we will sail mainly with the wind, and passengers interested in learning how to maneuver a traditional rigged sailboat will have their opportunity to do so. At night we will anchor in a cove or enter port, depending on the weather and the wishes of the passengers.<\/p>\n\n
