Alicante-Ibiza-Alicante \u00b7 April 27 to May 4 \u00b7 8 days \u00b7 \u20ac65<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Under the patronage of Tanit, ancient goddess of Ibiza, we will make the journey that in ancient times linked the Phoenician settlements on the coast of the Iberian peninsula and the Balearic Islands.<\/p>\n\n

In previous years we have sailed between Cartagena and Ibiza. The two cities were founded by the Phoenicians and we commemorate that shared past with a sailing trip, a cultural adventure that we named the Tanit Route<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

But this year, both the departure and the arrival will be in the city of Alicante. We will follow a small part of the great route that the ancient Phoenician navigators followed from Gadir-C\u00e1diz, passing through Qart-Hada\u0161t-Cartagena, to Ibo\u0161im -Ibiza, and much further, to Sicily and Carthage.<\/p>\n\n

8 days \u2013 7 nights. Departure and return port: Alicante.<\/p>\n\n

Embarking on Saturday April 27 in the morning and disembarking on Saturday of the following week at 12:00 (On request: possibility of sleeping on board the night of the day before boarding). Accommodation on the boat, safety briefing, the supplies will already be on board and we will set sail as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n

On the first day, before crossing the Ibiza channel, we will stop at the nearby port of Campello to take a guided tour of the interesting Ibero-Punic-Roman site of La Illeta, and the remains of its small temple of Tanit.<\/p>\n\n

Upon our arrival in the south of the island of Ibiza, we will anchor next to the archaeological site of Sa Caleta, the oldest Phoenician settlement on the island. We will take a guided tour of the remains, admiring the views from the privileged location. A very short distance away we can also enjoy a swim on the beach of the secluded Es Bol Nou cala.<\/p>\n\n

After sleeping the night in the cala, we will continue the route crossing the Freus between Ibiza and Formentera and heading towards the Magon rock: the island of Tagomago, whose name comes from Magon Barca, brother of Anibal. A few miles to the north is the Sant Vicent cove. From there, once anchored, we will begin the excursion that will take us to the ancient sanctuary of the goddess Tanit, in the Es Culleram cave, walking along a narrow path through the forest to the lonely place where the cave is located, enjoying the beautiful view over the sea. As the goddess of fertility, Tanit received many pilgrims with offerings: more than 600 statuettes with the image of the goddess were found in the excavations. Our next stage will take us to the city of Ibiza, where we will visit the Puig des Molins Museum-Necropolis, located in the upper part, where Ibo\u0161im was founded. On the guided tour we will see the hypogeums and the numerous archaeological remains of the museum. Afterwards there will be free time for other recreational activities in Ibiza. The next day we will sail back to the mainland, if possible with a stop in Formentera to enjoy its waters, in Illetes or Cala Saona. Then we will weigh anchor and hoist sail and, like our Punic ancestors, we will head towards the setting sun.<\/p>\n\n

Extras: For the costs of provisioning, fuel and moorings, each passenger will pay a fund of \u20ac20\/day at the time of boarding, the unspent portion will be returned at the end of the journey.<\/p>\n\n

During the trip we will sail mainly with the wind, and passengers interested in learning how to maneuver a traditional rigged sailboat will have their opportunity to do so. At night we will anchor in a cove or enter port, depending on the weather and the wishes of the passengers.<\/p>\n\n
